Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (also called Ultrasound Technicians) operate special imaging equipment to create images of the body’s organs and tissues known as sonograms (or ultrasounds), which are used to help physicians assess and diagnose medical conditions. Diagnostic Medical Sonographers may work closely with physicians or surgeons before, during, and after procedures.

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program at North-West College is a career-focused hands-on training program designed to provide the technical knowledge and clinical skills you need to begin working as an Ultrasound Technician or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer working with ultrasound equipment in medical clinics, imaging centers, hospitals, mobile imaging services and other medical facilities.
