The Medical Insurance Billing and Coding program at North-West College is designed to teach you the fundamental knowledge and skills you need to begin a career working with patient and health care records, including medical terminology and basic human anatomy, front office procedures, how to submit medical claims, insurance reimbursement, managed care procedures, computer billing applications and computer medical coding. The program also includes an off-site externship where you will have the opportunity to get real-world experience practicing the skills you learn at the college working closely with doctors, nurses and other health care professionals.
