Glendale Career College Steps In to Help 40 Shepherd University Nursing Students Complete Their Studies Following School Closure

GLENDALE, Calif.—Forty nursing students now eagerly await their graduation from Glendale Career College (GCC)after they transferred to GCC following the closure of their previous school, Shepherd University. Upon learning of Shepherd’s closure in late 2017, Glendale Career College assembled an executive team to meet with Shepherd’s nursing students and explore the potential for them to join GCC’s Registered Nursing program.

Glendale Career College Offers Enhanced Learning Opportunities through New Mobile Simulation Laboratory

This fall, Glendale Career College (GCC) expanded its training capabilities with the launch of a new Mobile Simulation Laboratory (MSL). Designed as a lab on wheels, the MSL houses two examination rooms—each with a high-fidelity simulation manikin that enables Registered Nursing students to practice providing bedside care through a variety of computerized simulation scenarios.

CAPPS Awards North-West College Student Cherie Hester with Marsha Fuerst Memorial Scholarship

The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) recently recognized North-West College (NWC) student Cherie Hester as the recipient of the 2017 Marsha Fuerst Memorial Scholarship. Created to honor the legacy of North-West College Founder Marsha Fuerst, the $3,000 award is designed for female students currently enrolled in a Medical Assistant program and open to students at any CAPPS member school.
