SAN DIEGO, Calif.— Saturday, October 8th marked the culmination of months of rigorous study for dozens of graduates, as they crossed the stage at North-West College’s San Diego Commencement Ceremony. The event brought together more than 300 family members, friends, Professors, Instructors, and Team Members at the San Diego Campus Auditorium—all there to celebrate this milestone moment.
“We are proud of each individual here and honored to recognize them today,” shared NWC Chief Operating Officer Beylor Meza. “They have worked so hard—overcoming tremendous obstacles to finish their programs. It has been a privilege to see them reach their goals.”
The fall 2022 graduating class was comprised of students from North-West College and the Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing, with individuals from the Medical Assistant, Medical Insurance Biller and Coder, and Associate of Arts in Nursing programs. Each student participated in a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on learning opportunities—a hallmark of the College that not only cements new skills, but also enables individuals to hit the ground running in the health care field.
NWC Admissions Representative Viridiana Noriega sang the national anthem and attendees had the opportunity to hear from several members of the College’s Leadership Team. Fall nursing program Valedictorian Rollyn Faye Cho also shared a few words, challenging her classmates to walk with courage into their next chapter.
“The education and experience we have gained here have made our lives richer,” Cho said. “Even though we may occasionally fall and stumble, we always get back up. And if we ever encounter someone in need, let’s be compassionate, extend a hand, and help them get back on their feet. Congratulations to the Class of 2022! May we always work to create a bright future.”
After pledging to practice their chosen professions with integrity, the students were officially conferred as graduates of North-West College.
“We recognize that each and gown represents a life changed by the quality career training we provide here at North-West College,” Meza shared. “We have no doubt they will go on to make an incredible difference in the lives of the patients and communities they serve.”
