Upon learning of Shepherd’s closure in late 2017, Glendale Career College assembled an executive team to meet with Shepherd’s nursing students and explore the potential for them to join GCC’s Registered Nursing program.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada—The Accrediting Bureau for Health Education Schools (ABHES) recently recognized Nevada Career Institute (NCI) with a five-year reaccreditation renewal. Following an extensive review process, which culminated in a two-day campus visit from ABHES evaluators, the accrediting agency awarded NCI with the longest grant possible.

GLENDALE, Calif.—Students interested in pursuing an entry-level position in the business world can now choose to enroll in Glendale Career College’s (GCC) new Business Office Administration (BOA) Program. Designed to help individuals develop skills essential to succeed in professional business office settings, the program marks a shift from GCC’s allied health offerings.
This fall, Glendale Career College (GCC) expanded its training capabilities with the launch of a new Mobile Simulation Laboratory (MSL). Designed as a lab on wheels, the MSL houses two examination rooms—each with a high-fidelity simulation manikin that enables Registered Nursing students to practice providing bedside care through a variety of computerized simulation scenarios.
Thousands of individuals gathered at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, October 22 for North-West College’s 2017 Fall Commencement Ceremony. In one of the largest events to date, family and friends, Team Members, and Instructors congratulated 424 graduates as they marked the culmination of their career training.
The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) recently recognized North-West College (NWC) student Cherie Hester as the recipient of the 2017 Marsha Fuerst Memorial Scholarship. Created to honor the legacy of North-West College Founder Marsha Fuerst, the $3,000 award is designed for female students currently enrolled in a Medical Assistant program and open to students at any CAPPS member school.
